When it comes to jewellery, a bold piece of turquoise has always been one of my favourites (as seen here and here).

Its such a bright, vibrant colour and the best bit is it suits all skin tones. It looks just as good on the Cali-blonde-beach-bunny as it does on the blacker-than-a-berry African Queen.

Don't forget, I'm the woman who's so obsessed with jewellery I decided to train as a gemologist last year.  So my copious amounts of time spent looking at and trying on jewellery can now be defined as 'research'....gotta love that.

I've never been big on bold necklaces as I feel they overpower me a little. But I'm beginning to think its just about finding the right ones. This turquoise bead necklace with wood beads would looks fab with a white tee/tank and jeans/denim shorts. Or wear with black by night. Especially when I'm in the mood for keeping it simple.
