Dreaming of McQueen

There's just something about Alexander McQueen.

Isn't there?

And today doing my rounds on the most recession proof website I've ever seen...Gilt, I came across the Alexander McQueen sale.

The prices are still ridiculous...which is why I'm just dreaming of McQueen.

How fabulous is this ombre kimono sleeve dress?

From the front, this just looks like a simple, sophisticated white dress. And then you see the low cut embellished back and wa-wa-wee-wa. That's some seriously sexy shizzle.

At first glance, this just looks like a nice little strapless dress. But when you take a much closer look, its laser cut leather attached to 100% silk.

This supersexy shade of fuchsia has become something of a signature colour for McQueen and I love the simplicity of this shift with the wide contrast belt and the super low back.

Recession be damned!

Foot Fetish Friday - Fab 5 Under 50

I've been up to my ears in cyberspace all week as I've just started the second site for my expanding blog empire. Its all music and music videos. Tiger Tem's Music Bites. Pop over and take a peek, lots of great tracks and videos. Boom Boom Pow and Part Of Me being my two favourites at the moment. But lots more to come so keep an eye out. It wouldn't be fair if I didn't WARN you about the Part Of me video....its deep, dark and more than a little bit scary.

But its Friday which means shoes. And this week, as an ode to all my fellow recessionistas, I've got the Fab Five Under 50.

First up, we've got these supercute Noelle pumps from Forever 21 for $29.80. I love the fact they're suede, the cone heel makes them easy to walk in by day and the elasticated strap is a little bit cute, a little bit fun and a little bit sexy.

Next we've got these knot front heel from GoJane for an astonishing $22.70. they come in black as well but these orange ones are a cheap and cheerful way to add a splash of colour to your wardrobe.

Another fabulous find from GoJane, these chunky clunky Mary Janes. For $18.70! Normally i hate clunky shoes but I love these. they'd work with jeans (skinny, bootleg or straight), skirts, dresses and quite frankly we all love and need such hard working accessories in our wardrobes.

Next we have some practical yet stylish black ankle boots from Office. Reduced from £90 to £45, they're easy to walk in, they've got great grip on the soles so no slipping and sliding in icy weather...and all that biker boot detail makes them more than just a little bit sexy.

And to leave you with your own little bit of Boom Boom Pow to see you through the weekend, these fabulously undeniably stripper-esque gold platform heels from Office. Quite rightly called Party All Night.  They're reduced from £85 to 55 so I'm sure you'll have to beat the Spearmint Rhino Hoi Polloi to them, but there you have it.
