Another one of my many winter loves is ice skating.
As a young 'un I had weekly lessons on an indoor rink.....one look at Torville and Dean and I was lacing up my boots on a regular basis faster than you would believe. There was something so elegant and graceful about those pro-skaters in their spingly spangly spandex finery doing twirls and jumps that appealed to my inner ballerina girl.
There are two outdoor rinks in London I absolutely love.
Somerset House is quite possibly the most magical place to skate. It opens on 17th November and stays opens until January 10th. Click HERE for more details.

And my other favourite winter skating spot in London is the Natural History Musuem. Magic!

Now all this skating talk has got me thinking about a few essential bits to wear when hitting the ice.
So here are my picks of some of the snuggliest, furriest, sparkliest winter accessories around now.
Keep your head warm! 7-55% of body heat can be lost through your head so when you're on the ice, keep it warm!
Keep your neck wrapped up too....no need to scrimp on the style stakes either. Snoods are the way forward (a scarf and hood combined, in case you didn't know).
Gloves are essential when skating. If you fall, try to ball your fists as fast as humanly possible.....it helps avoid many unnnceesary trips to A&E (or ER).
And leg warmers will help keep your pins warm while you wear your latest leggings/jeggings as you skate.
